As a food blogger, I get all kinds of interesting emails. All get read, a few get a glance but most go into the trash. Every so often I get one that really catches me eye.
The email read, ‘Be part of the Summer Blogger “Grill-Off.” Alright you have my attention.
Cookina and Colman’s is kicking off the summer.
Cookina sent me a pretty cool little grilling mat.
At first I thought that there’s no way this dark plastic mat is going to stand up to a grill and leave sear marks. Boy was I wrong! Not only does it work, but it is amazing at grilling veggies and keeping chicken moist during grilling. (If you’re looking for one, head to Home Depot).
The second goodie came from Colman and was dry and prepared mustard (it comes in a squeeze bottle and glass jar…fancy!)
It’s bright yellow and I figured that it would need a bit of hot pepper sauce to give it a kick. Nope, wrong again! This stuff has a huge kick. It uses white and brown mustard seeds and it can make your nose tingle. Mr. RWB ate a spoonful! All this needed was a little honey and it was ready to rock the chicken sausage.
- 2 tbsp. prepared Colman's mustard
- 1 - 2 tsp. honey
- ¼ tsp. granulated garlic
- Add honey and garlic to mustard and stir until well mixed.
- Taste and add additional honey if needed.
- Serve with grilled sausage. Enjoy!
