The third installment in the Valentine’s candy corn saga…why anyone would bring my candy at Christmas with all the sweets I make? Oy! Alas, I am using it as inspiration. I took a page from my fellow Austin foodie, 1 Fine Cookie, and her candy vodka. After seeing the success she had, why not try it with candy corn? So I grabbed my new favorite vodka, Starlite Vodka (I’d link to it but I can’t find one…it’s pretty new!), a handful of candy corn and let time do the rest.
Unlike my fellow foodie friend, the candy corn dissolved almost completely in 1 day so I added another handful to see if it would dissolve as well. Good news, it did! And all that’s left is just little wax at the bottom.
So far I’ve tried two recipes (number 2 coming soon!) and it’s done great in both. The candy corn imparts a great red color and mild marshmallow type flavor. This just screams Valentine’s Day!
Here’s what you need…
Ingredients:
1 oz. candy corn vodka
2 oz. pineapple juice
Splash of grenadine
2 maraschino cherries, for garnish
Red sanding sugar
Instructions:
- Add ice and all ingredients into a shaker – careful not to stir up the sediment at the bottom of the jar! Shake well.
- Wet the rim of a martini glass and rim with red sugar. Add maraschino cherries to a festive pick.
- Pour drink in the glass and garnish with cherry pick.

- Enjoy!
